My Cortex is a personal reminders and planning app made by Björn Holmþórsson in Iceland, who is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions: hello@my-cortex.com.
What we store
- Your account: name, email address, home address and your password (stored only as a secure one-way hash), and a profile photo if you add one.
- What you put in the app: reminders, notes, lists, appointments, places you save (with their name and map location), shared items and their photos, and the people you connect with.
- Sharing: when you share a reminder or appointment with a connection, they can see it.
- Sign-in history: the time of each sign-in to your account.
- Error reports: when something fails on our server we record the error, the screen or request involved and your user ID, so we can fix it.
What stays on your phone
- Your location. Arrival reminders use your phone's location to notice when you reach a saved place. This happens on your phone; your location is not sent to us. Only the places you choose to save are stored with your account.
- Face ID / Touch ID sign-in. If you turn it on, your sign-in details are kept in your phone's secure keychain, protected by Face ID or Touch ID. They never leave the phone.
- Notifications are scheduled on your phone.
Voice dictation
When you use the microphone to dictate, the recording is sent to Microsoft Azure Speech to be turned into text and is not kept by us afterwards.
Who processes the data
- Microsoft Azure (EU, North Europe) runs our server, sends password-reset emails and transcribes voice dictation.
- Neon (EU, Frankfurt) hosts our database.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
How long we keep it, and your rights
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account and all its data at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account; this cannot be undone. Reminders and appointments you shared are removed for the people you shared them with too.
You can also ask us to see, correct or delete your data by emailing hello@my-cortex.com. You may complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd).
Children
My Cortex is not intended for children under 13.

Hvað við geymum
- Aðganginn þinn: nafn, netfang, heimilisfang og lykilorð (aðeins geymt sem örugg einstefnu-hakkgildi) og prófílmynd ef þú setur hana inn.
- Það sem þú setur inn: áminningar, glósur, lista, viðburði, staði sem þú vistar (með nafni og staðsetningu á korti), sameiginlega hluti og myndir af þeim og fólkið sem þú tengist.
- Deiling: þegar þú deilir áminningu eða viðburði með tengilið getur hann séð hana.
- Innskráningarsaga: tími hverrar innskráningar.
- Villuskýrslur: þegar eitthvað bilar á þjóninum skráum við villuna, beiðnina sem í hlut átti og notandanúmerið þitt svo við getum lagað hana.
Það sem verður eftir á símanum
- Staðsetningin þín. Áminningar við komu nota staðsetningu símans til að taka eftir því þegar þú kemur á vistaðan stað. Það gerist í símanum; staðsetningin er ekki send til okkar. Aðeins staðirnir sem þú velur að vista eru geymdir með aðganginum.
- Innskráning með Face ID / Touch ID. Ef þú kveikir á henni eru innskráningarupplýsingarnar geymdar í öruggri lyklakippu símans, varðar með Face ID eða Touch ID. Þær fara aldrei af símanum.
- Tilkynningar eru tímasettar á símanum.
Upplestur (raddinnsláttur)
Þegar þú notar hljóðnemann er upptakan send til Microsoft Azure Speech til að breyta henni í texta og hún er ekki geymd hjá okkur eftir það.
Hverjir vinna gögnin
- Microsoft Azure (ESB, Norður-Evrópa) keyrir þjóninn, sendir tölvupóst vegna endurstillingar lykilorðs og breytir tali í texta.
- Neon (ESB, Frankfurt) hýsir gagnagrunninn.
Við seljum ekki gögnin þín, birtum ekki auglýsingar og fylgjumst ekki með þér í öðrum öppum eða á vefsíðum.
Hversu lengi og réttindi þín
Við geymum gögnin meðan þú átt aðgang. Þú getur eytt aðganginum og öllum gögnum hans hvenær sem er í appinu undir Stillingar → Eyða aðgangi; það er ekki hægt að afturkalla. Áminningar og viðburðir sem þú deildir hverfa líka hjá þeim sem þú deildir þeim með.
Þú getur líka beðið um að sjá, leiðrétta eða eyða gögnunum þínum með pósti á hello@my-cortex.com. Þú getur kvartað til Persónuverndar.
Börn
My Cortex er ekki ætlað börnum yngri en 13 ára.
